Joakim Jardenberg

Joakim “Jocke” Jardenberg is a Swedish expert on social media, an investor in early stage tech startups, and an Internet “evangelist” and pundit. He oversees the Internet for the city of Helsingborg, Sweden, and formerly ran a company and blog called Mindpark that examined the meeting of old and new media.
Mr. Jardenberg has received numerous honors for his work in media and technology. He was the first recipient of the Sparbanksstiftelsen Social Media award and the first individual to receive the Swedish “Golden Link” award for innovative e-government development. He has been ranked #4 the Huffington Post’s “The Most Influential Tech CEOs On Twitter” and #14 on The Telegraph’s list “The 100 most influential technology investors in Europe.” Cision picked Jardenberg Unedited as the most influencial site on social media and Internet marketing in Sweden. Mr. Jardenberg writes and travels the world to lecture and moderate large and small groups on media and technology. He believes in freedom of expression and in the power of online technology to democratize our world. Mr. Jardenberg has worked in the Middle East and Northern Africa on these issues while pushing the envelope in already-connected regions. He also has commited 50 percent of his time to pro bono efforts.
