Laurie Giarratani
Director of Education, Carnegie Museum of Natural History
Laurie Giarratani is Director of Education at Carnegie Museum of Natural History. As part of the museum’s Senior Leadership Team, she works across museum departments and with community partners to ensure that education programs at the museum and Powdermill Nature Reserve connect science and nature to relevant community issues and help make Western PA a welcoming and interesting place to live.
Laurie provides strategic leadership for the Pittsburgh Climate & Urban Systems Partnership network and is an NSF Principal Investigator on a new initiative – the Climate & Rural Systems Partnership – that will connect climate conversations across regional communities.
