Scott Wolovich

Executive Director and Co-founder, New Sun Rising

Scott Wolovich is the Executive Director and Co-Founder of New Sun Rising, an innovative 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization with a mission to build vibrant communities through culture, sustainability, and opportunity. Scott has dedicated his professional life to helping others reach their goals and connect in transformative ways. After receiving his Bachelor of Science at Ohio University in 1996, he went on to pursue a Master in Physical Therapy at the University of Pittsburgh. Scott's experience in community health led him to start Moringa Living, LLC a social enterprise helping to implement the Age-Friendly Greater Pittsburgh Action Plan through Lively Pittsburgh.

In 2015, Scott joined New Sun Rising full-time, growing the team to five staff members who help hundreds of small business and nonprofit leaders to equitably revitalize their community. Scott shares a love of music and nature with his two children, Rowan and Maya, and his wife of 15 years, Amber.
